11 BLOCKBUSTER TITLES, ONE CINEMA SEASON
LIVE FROM THE ROYAL OPERA HOUSE 2018/19

With 11 titles, the Royal Opera House Live Cinema Season 2018/19 is set to thrill audiences in more than 1500 cinemas in over 40 countries.

Including some of The Royal Opera and The Royal Ballet’s much-loved classical repertory, the world’s top ballet and opera stars, and four brand new productions, Pannonia Entertainment distributes live satellite broadcasts and recorded shows of performances from the Covent Garden to cinemas across Hungary, Poland and Romania.

  • Popular classics including Romeo and Juliet, La traviata and Christmas favourite The Nutcracker
  • New and highly anticipated opera productions The Queen of Spades and La forza del destino, plus a ballet World Premiere from choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui
  • Some of the biggest opera stars in the world including Plácido Domingo, Anna Netrebko, Jonas Kaufmann, Ludovic Tézier, Erwin Schrott, Diana Damrau, Ermonela Jaho, Michael Fabiano and Eva-Maria Westbroek
  • Mayerling and La Bayadère — two celebrated classics of the Royal Ballet repertory — come to cinemas for the first time, plus Don Quixote returns, a sparkling ballet choreographed by Carlos Acosta
  • And Antonio Pappano conducts an international cast in Die Walküre, the second and perhaps best-loved opera of Richard Wagner’s epic Ring cycle
