Raffaello: The Lord of the Arts 3D – ART BEATS SERIES 2017

We are excited to officially announce the 2017 new ART BEATS season. In cooperation with worldwide distributor NEXO DIGITAL and featuring artists such as Botticelli, Raphael and Caravaggio, state-of-the-art technologies in 4K and 3D, unprecedented access to secluded collections, and even surprising links to commercial blockbusters, the new ART BEATS series is about to return with what might be the best season yet.

From the team that brought you “The Vatican Museums”, “Florence and the Uffizi Gallery” and “St. Peter’s and the Papal Basilicas of Rome”, comes a captivating portrait of one of the greatest Renaissance artists, as well as one of the most influential for the subsequent history of modern art. Widely regarded and celebrated as an “enfant prodige” by both his peers and generations to follow, together with Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael forms the traditional triad of the Renaissance masters. And yet, not many people know his story. Using both stereoscopic 3D cameras and the most advanced dimensionalisation techniques (but also available in 2D), along with commentaries by important critics and refined historical reconstructions, “Raphael – Lord of the Arts” will shed a light on his life and his exquisite craft that marked the passage from the Renaissance to the Mannerism and brought the figurative art to unprecedented heights.

Available from May 2017, Pannonia Entertainment distributes this thrilling 3D art documentary to cinemas across Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Romania.

Caravaggio: The Ideal Exhibition – ART BEATS SERIES 2017

“Caravaggio – The Ideal Exhibition” inaugurates a highly innovative, brand new concept destined to redefine art documentaries. A very important curator, Antonio Natali (director of the Uffizi Gallery for over 10 years), recreates his ideal exhibition of Caravaggio in order to give us a fascinating and comprehensive portrait of one of the greatest, most controversial and beloved artists of all times.

Giò Forma – a top-notch international multi-platform bureau for design, responsible for designing some of the greatest concert tours, award ceremonies and events around the world (Olympic Games, Italy’s Expo etc…) – will create a virtual exhibition like no others that comprise installations, projections and the most advanced technological equipment. In this incredible environment, Natali will bring us through different rooms/chapters inspired by Caravaggio’s troubled and mysterious life, as well as by his phenomenal art, whose ground-breaking and violent realism was a shocking departure from the gentle art of the Mannerism. From there we will leap to the real locations where Caravaggio travelled and lived and where his famous paintings are displayed in order to analyze them in great detail: from his training period in Milan and Venice, to the sudden success in Rome, up to the murder and the consequent death sentence that forced him to flee to Naples, Malta and Sicily, where his work grew darker and darker, obsessed by images of death and themes like guilt, punishment and redemption.

Available from November 2017, Pannonia Entertainment will distribute this spectacular documentary to cinemas across Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria and Romania.
